Registrar form

Form ISR-1

What it is

ISR-1 is the form a registrar uses to update or register your details against a physical shareholding — PAN, address, bank mandate, signature, contact details and nomination.

It is the form most often asked for when an old folio has been dormant, because dormancy usually means several of those details are out of date at once.

When you need it

You are updating details on a physical folio held with a registrar.

A registrar has told you your folio is frozen or incomplete pending KYC.

You are correcting a PAN, address or bank mandate before a claim can proceed.

You are registering a nomination against an existing holding.

When you don’t

The holding is already in demat form — those details are updated through your depository participant instead.

You are claiming shares that have already been transferred to the IEPF, which is a different route entirely.

Not sure this is the form you need?

Tell us what you are trying to claim and we will tell you exactly which documents apply — before you start filling anything in.
