Unclaimed Insurance Amounts
Matured policies and proceeds that were never collected — often because the family did not know the policy existed.
In short
Insurance proceeds go unclaimed for ordinary reasons: a policy matured and nobody noticed, the policyholder died and the family never found the paperwork, or contact details went out of date and the insurer could not reach anyone.
The amount stays claimable. What is needed is to establish the policy, confirm who is entitled, and put a claim in with the documentation the insurer requires.

What we do
Our side of the work, in the order it happens. You are not asked to chase any of it.
- We establish the policy and its status With the insurer.
- We identify who is entitled to claim Nominee, assignee or legal heir.
- We prepare the claim documentation
- We follow up with the insurer until settled
What you may need
Indicative, not a checklist to complete before contacting us. Missing paperwork is normal and is part of what we sort out.
- Policy document or policy number — If available.
- Identity and PAN of the claimant
- Death certificate — Where the policyholder has died.
- Proof of relationship or nomination
Where this usually gets stuck
Knowing these in advance is most of the reason cases move faster with help.
- Where the nominee named on a policy has themselves died, entitlement has to be re-established. This is common with older policies and is the usual reason such a claim takes longer.
Questions people ask
We cannot find the policy document.
It is not essential to start. The insurer's own records establish the policy.
Is there a time limit?
Entitlement does not simply expire, though older claims generally require more supporting documentation.
