About WealthKhoj

Old investments don’t disappear. They get misfiled.

A company changes its name. A family moves house. A registrar hands over to another. The shares are still there — the paper trail just stopped pointing at them. We follow that trail for a living.

What we actually do

Three things, in this order. Nothing starts until the first one is answered.

Find out if there is anything

We check registrar and IEPF records against whatever you have — a name, an old address, a certificate that names a company that no longer exists. This part is free.

Tell you the real route

Company, registrar, IEPF or transmission — each runs differently. You get the route, the documents it needs and what it costs, before you decide anything.

Run it, if you want us to

We deal with the registrar, the company and the authority directly. You are not left chasing an office that answers in a language of its own.

Why we exist

Most people who contact us are not investors. They are someone clearing out a parent’s cupboard who found a share certificate for a company that seems not to exist. Or someone whose dividend cheques stopped arriving twenty years ago and who assumed that was the end of it.

It usually isn’t. Unclaimed does not mean gone. Shares and dividends left untouched for seven consecutive years are transferred to the Investor Education and Protection Fund — held, not forfeited, and claimable by the rightful owner or their legal heirs. The process is genuinely open to anyone. It is also genuinely difficult to navigate alone, and that gap is the entire reason this exists.

So we did the unglamorous part first: building a verified record for each company — every former name, every registrar change, every merger — so that when someone arrives holding paper with the wrong name on it, the answer is already on file.

What we won’t do

  • We never charge to check. Finding out whether there is anything to recover costs you nothing, and there is no obligation afterwards.
  • We don’t promise outcomes. Nobody can. You get an honest read on what the records show and what the route involves.
  • We don’t hide the DIY option. If your case is simple enough to file yourself, we will tell you so and point you at the official process.
  • We don’t publish unverified facts. Every company record carries the date it was last checked against a source, and the source itself.

How working with us runs

No commitment until step three.

  1. You tell us what you haveA name, a company, an old address, a certificate. Whatever there is — incomplete is normal and is not a problem.
  2. We check the recordsRegistrar records, IEPF records, and the company’s own name and entity history. Free, and with no obligation.
  3. You get the route in writingWhat was found, which process applies, the documents needed, the likely timeline and the cost. Then you decide.
  4. We file and follow it throughOnly if you ask us to. We deal with the registrar, the company and the authority, and you hear from us as it moves.

Start with the free check.

You don’t need documents, a folio number, or to know what you’re looking for.
